These legs, made of 190-year-old antique oak wood, symbolize the historical significance of Cukurcuma, an old part of Istanbul. The armchair's special designed cushions, resembling bags or pouches, provide a soft and comfortable seating experience. The cushioning for the back supports the spine and neck, ensuring maximum comfort.

Handcrafted with great attention to detail, the Cukurcuma Armchair is a testament to the designer's commitment to quality. The legs, made of antique oak wood, are carefully shaped to achieve the unique n-shape design. Inside the armchair, elastic bands and soft cushioning provide additional support and comfort. The pouches or bags, designed separately and installed in specific locations, further enhance the seating experience. The bolt-like handles, made of brass, add a touch of elegance to the overall design.

Measuring 1000mm in width, 650mm in depth, and 900mm in height, the Cukurcuma Armchair is designed to fit seamlessly into any living space. Its mid-century feel and timeless design make it a versatile piece that can complement various interior styles.

The Cukurcuma Armchair project started in March 2018 and was completed in December 2018 in Istanbul. Throughout the design process, extensive research was conducted to ensure the armchair's comfort and health benefits. Orthopedic doctors and physical therapists were consulted to understand the fundamentals of comfort for the human body. The result is a design that not only looks good but also promotes relaxation and well-being.

The Cukurcuma Armchair has received recognition for its outstanding design. It was awarded the Bronze A' Furniture Design Award in 2019, a prestigious accolade that celebrates creativity, resourcefulness, and quality of life improvements. This award acknowledges the armchair's incorporation of best practices in art, science, design, and technology.
